In today’s Gospel, we heard of the Lord Jesus speaking to the people and responding to someone from the crowd who asked Him to be a judge between him and his brother. At any time and age, disputes between family members, friends and others regarding money, material wealth and privileges are commonplace, and it can really be very damaging in relationships. I am sure we have witnessed and heard how families, relationships and friendships are torn apart by these disagreements and conflicts, and unless we realize the folly of such arguments and contentions, then there will be only more of such heart pains and sufferings among us.  we are all indeed reminded to keep ourselves away from all these unhealthy attachments and desires for worldly goods and matters. However, it does not mean that we neglect our affairs and works in this world, as at the same time God wants us all to be responsible and accountable in our actions and works, in everything that we say and do, so that by our responsible actions and deeds, by our accountability and reliability, people may know that we are Christians.

En el Evangelio de hoy, escuchamos al Señor Jesús hablando a la gente y respondiendo a alguien de la multitud que le pidió que fuera juez entre él y su hermano. En cualquier momento y edad, las disputas entre familiares, amigos y otras personas con respecto al dinero, la riqueza material y los privilegios son comunes, y realmente pueden ser muy perjudiciales en las relaciones. Estoy seguro de que hemos presenciado y escuchado cómo las familias, las relaciones y las amistades se desgarran por estos desacuerdos y conflictos, y a menos que nos demos cuenta de la insensatez de tales argumentos y contiendas, entonces solo habrá más dolores y sufrimientos de este tipo entre nosotros. De hecho, a todos se nos recuerda que nos mantengamos alejados de todos estos apegos y deseos malsanos por los bienes y asuntos mundanos. Sin embargo, esto no significa que descuidemos nuestros asuntos y obras en este mundo, ya que al mismo tiempo Dios quiere que todos seamos responsables y rindamos cuentas en nuestras acciones y obras, en todo lo que decimos y hacemos, para que por nuestras acciones y hechos responsables, por nuestra responsabilidad y confiabilidad, la gente pueda saber que somos cristianos.
